Newt Gingrich is calling it what it is—a constitutional crisis hiding in plain sight.

The former House Speaker told Lara Trump on her show My View that the scandal surrounding Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and the use of an autopen to execute presidential actions could become “the biggest scandal in American history.” Gingrich warned that if others were secretly running the presidency while Biden served as a figurehead, the implications are far greater than Watergate.

“Probably sometime in 2023… Joe Biden was no longer there,” Gingrich said bluntly. “That means that other people were exercising the power of the presidency without any constitutional limitations.”

His warning wasn’t just about Biden’s condition—it was about the people behind the scenes, many of them with ties to former President Barack Obama, who may have pulled the strings while hiding Biden’s unfitness from the public.

Gingrich pointed to one particularly alarming moment: the use of an autopen to commute 2,400 people in a single day after the 2024 election. “You know he didn’t have a clue,” Gingrich said. “Somebody was running the autopen. Somebody was giving them instructions and somebody was making deals somewhere.”

This isn’t speculation anymore. President Donald Trump has called for Attorney General Pam Bondi to lead a full investigation into whether Biden’s staff conspired to use his name to carry out executive actions he didn’t understand—potentially voiding those acts altogether.

Trump is also questioning the legality of Biden’s pardons and proclamations, noting that the use of the autopen raises serious doubt as to whether Biden even knew what he was signing. “If he wasn’t making the decisions, none of it should be considered legitimate,” Trump has said.

Biden tried to get ahead of the investigation by releasing a defensive statement claiming he made every decision personally. “Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false,” Biden said, accusing Trump and Republicans of trying to distract the public.

But the distraction narrative isn’t working anymore.

Even members of the media who once shielded Biden are coming forward. CNN’s Jake Tapper—who ridiculed Lara Trump in 2020 for raising concerns about Biden’s cognitive health—has now co-authored a book, Original Sin, detailing Biden’s decline. Tapper even apologized to Lara Trump for dismissing her warnings.

Gingrich didn’t stop at calling it elder abuse. He said the scandal must focus on the shadow government that may have hijacked the presidency, issuing orders under Biden’s name without the people’s knowledge or consent.

“If true,” Gingrich said, “this would mean unelected staffers and former officials essentially ran the country while the elected Commander-in-Chief deteriorated before our eyes.”

That’s not just political malpractice—it’s an unprecedented betrayal of the Constitution.

With Trump back in office and a full investigation underway, the American people may finally get the answers the media refused to ask for years. And if Gingrich is right, what’s uncovered could rewrite the history of Biden’s presidency—and expose just how far the radical establishment went to hold on to power.
