In a historic and explosive interview on Fox News Sunday Morning Futures, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard claimed that former President Barack Obama orchestrated a “treasonous conspiracy” to undermine Donald Trump’s presidency before it even began.

According to Gabbard, her office released over 100 documents Friday that she says prove Obama’s senior national security team created a false narrative about Trump colluding with Russia in the weeks after his 2016 election victory. The goal? To delegitimize Trump and cripple his administration from day one.

“This isn’t a partisan issue,” Gabbard said. “This is a direct attack on the integrity of our democratic republic. President Obama and his leadership team manufactured intelligence to claim Russia helped Trump win—despite earlier assessments that said the opposite.”

Gabbard stated flatly that Russia neither had the intent nor the capability to “hack the U.S. election,” and that the intelligence linking Trump to Russia was a political fabrication intended to create a long-term smokescreen of scandal. She accused Obama and top officials of weaponizing the national security apparatus to subvert the will of the voters.

“What we saw,” she said, “was a sitting President of the United States actively working to sabotage the president-elect because he didn’t like the outcome of the election.”

The Russia narrative, which consumed years of congressional hearings, media hysteria, and FBI investigations, appears—according to Gabbard’s revelations—to have been nothing more than an elaborate, coordinated disinformation campaign originating from the Oval Office of Barack Obama himself.

She didn’t mince words: “This was a years-long coup attempt, plain and simple.”

The timing of the release is no accident. Gabbard, once a Democrat herself, has made it clear that she sees national security as a sacred trust—not a political tool. Her decision to declassify and release these documents publicly signals a seismic shift in how the intelligence community handles corruption from within its own ranks.

“This wasn’t about protecting national security,” Gabbard said. “It was about protecting the political power of one party against the lawful election of Donald Trump.”

The details of the documents remain classified for now, but sources say they include emails, meeting summaries, and early drafts of talking points that show how the Obama administration seeded the collusion hoax across federal agencies and the media. More explosive disclosures are reportedly still to come.

In Washington, the fallout is already building. Republicans are calling for congressional hearings. Trump supporters are demanding indictments. And Democrats, predictably, are claiming it’s all a distraction—despite not yet disputing the content of the documents Gabbard released.

The political impact could be staggering. This development reopens every chapter of the failed Russia hoax and puts Obama’s legacy in the crosshairs. It also bolsters Trump’s long-held claim that he was the target of a deep-state coup.

The timing couldn’t be worse for Democrats heading into a brutal election cycle. They now face the prospect of defending not just Joe Biden’s record, but Barack Obama’s alleged abuse of power at the highest level.

Tulsi Gabbard’s warning was clear: “This kind of conspiracy strikes at the very heart of our republic. If we allow this to happen without consequences, it will happen again.”
