Former FBI assistant director Frank Figliuzzi made controversial remarks on MSNBC’s “Deadline,” claiming that Americans who voted for President Donald Trump should reconsider whether they are truly American. His comments came during a discussion about Trump’s use of a historical quote, which Figliuzzi linked to a white supremacist.

During the broadcast, Figliuzzi criticized former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus for dismissing concerns about Trump’s rhetoric. He compared Trump’s actions to someone recklessly throwing a live grenade, warning that the consequences could harm both Trump and the country as a whole. He stated that while Trump may face backlash, others would also suffer due to his words and actions.

Figliuzzi then addressed a specific statement Trump made: “Don’t worry that someone who saves his country cannot violate a law.” He noted that historians have debated its origins, with some attributing it to Napoleon. However, he argued that the phrase has been used more recently by far-right extremists. He specifically pointed to Anders Breivik, the Norwegian terrorist responsible for killing 77 people in a 2011 attack.

He then made the claim that Trump is now quoting a neo-Nazi mass murderer. Figliuzzi asserted that anyone who voted for Trump should question their loyalty to America, as they are now supporting someone who promotes white supremacist ideology. He insisted that Trump himself is unlikely to be familiar with Norwegian history and suggested that someone in his circle is deliberately feeding him extremist rhetoric.

Figliuzzi’s comments immediately sparked outrage, with many calling them an outright attack on millions of patriotic Americans who voted for Trump. Suggesting that Trump supporters are somehow less American is nothing more than a desperate smear tactic used by the left to silence opposition.

His baseless claim that Trump is being influenced by white supremacists is just another recycled narrative pushed by the media to demonize conservatives. Instead of addressing real issues, they resort to slander and fear-mongering, trying to paint Trump and his voters as extremists.

This is yet another example of the left’s obsession with controlling the narrative, using mainstream media to distort Trump’s words and twist them into something sinister. While Democrats and their media allies fixate on Trump’s every move, real Americans are more concerned about issues that actually affect their lives—like the economy, border security, and protecting their freedoms from an overreaching government.
