In the latest episode of “Kamala Harris Takes Center Stage,” the Vice President has once again flaunted her unwavering commitment to the cause of reparations, and boy, is it a doozy. Fresh off her efforts to make “reparations” the next hot-button issue, Harris is now championing a bill to create a commission to determine how to divvy up those long-overdue reparations to black Americans.

Let’s rewind to April 2019, when Harris, then a senator with more ambition than a caffeinated squirrel, co-sponsored the Commission to Study and Develop Reparations Proposal for African-Americans Act. The bill would set up a 13-member commission to dive into the nitty-gritty of reparations, complete with a national apology and a proposal to compensate for the horrors of slavery and its ugly aftermath.

But wait, there’s more! California—Harris’ home state, where dreams of progress float higher than the smog—has already been down this road. The Democrat-dominated state legislature passed Assembly Bill 3121 with great enthusiasm. This bill created the Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans.

After extensive research, the task force came to a groundbreaking conclusion: every black Californian is entitled to a cool $1.2 million. Oh, and let’s not forget their radical suggestions to soften the criminal code, including legalizing public urination. Nothing screams “justice,” like making sure it’s not a crime to pee in public.

The task force also proposed allowing individuals arrested for public indecency to sue the state. They suggested removing child support debts and stopping police from pulling people over for minor issues like an expired registration or a broken tail light. One can conclude that this task force doesn’t want to fix the system—they want to make it a free-for-all!

Harris has been outspoken about her support for reparations since 2019. In interviews, she emphasized the concept, stating to NPR that she perceives reparations as more than just monetary payments. “It means different things to different people,” she mused. In a CNN town hall that same year, she was all for studying direct cash payments because who doesn’t love a good study?

So, as Harris continues to ride the reparations train, one can’t help but wonder if her real plan is to make bureaucratic blunders into an art form. If there’s one clear thing, it’s that she’s committed to turning the reparations conversation into a full-blown spectacle, proving that when it comes to solving complex issues, the only thing she’s really sure of is her passion for creating more committees.
