The U.S. military used to be about strength, strategy, and protecting the country. Now? It’s drowning in woke nonsense. But Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for Secretary of Defense, is ready to clean up the mess. Hegseth knows the military’s real job: defending America, not focusing on pronouns, diversity quotas, or “white privilege” lectures.
Hegseth has made it clear that woke policies have no place in the armed forces. He’s been vocal about how this ideology distracts from what really matters—readiness and strength. Some in Washington don’t like that. They’ve tried to derail his confirmation with old allegations and political games, but Trump isn’t backing down. “Pete is a WINNER,” Trump declared, standing firmly behind his pick.
What’s at stake here is bigger than politics. Under the Biden administration, the military has spent millions on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. A Department of Defense report proudly touted $86.5 million spent on these programs while West Point cadets were being lectured on white privilege. The Air Force Academy even discouraged cadets from using words like “mom” or “dad” because they’re supposedly too gendered.
Seriously, these woke distractions aren’t just embarrassing—they’re harmful. Recruitment is down, morale is low, and global threats from countries like China, Russia, and Iran are rising. House Majority Leader Steve Scalise blamed these bad policies for making it harder to recruit and retain great service members. He’s right. A military focused on woke ideology isn’t a military that can win wars.
Hegseth has the experience to fix this. He’s a combat veteran with a record of service in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay. He knows what it takes to lead. If confirmed, Hegseth plans to fire the Pentagon officials who pushed these policies and put the focus back where it belongs—on defending America.
The military isn’t supposed to be a social experiment. It’s time to cut the woke nonsense and rebuild our armed forces. With Hegseth in charge, the military can finally get back to what it does best: protecting the nation.
