Just a few days ago, Biden said he wanted to put the debate behind him and place Trump in a “bullseye.”
Then, during Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania, shots rang out from an AR-15-style rifle. Former President Trump had blood across his right ear. Secret Service agents quickly ushered him off stage, but not before he pumped his fist into the air for unity and to show the crowd that he was okay.
The shooter, a 20-year-old who was a registered Republican but who had given to a liberal cause in 2021, was taken down at the event.
Biden has since addressed the shooting, saying that he condemns it and that there needs to be unity.
