A knife attack in Mannheim, Germany, shocked the nation as a video streamed live by a critic of Islam captured the assailant stabbing six individuals. The first victim, identified as Michael Sturzenberger, known for his outspoken anti-Islamic views, suffered injuries to his face and leg but is thankfully expected to recover. However, one police officer was sent to the hospital in critical condition after being stabbed in the back by the assailant but succumbed to his injuries later on.

Sturzenberger, a 59-year-old blogger with hard-right affiliations, was participating in a demonstration organized by the Citizens’ Movement Pax Europa (BPE) when the attack occurred. The assailant, identified as a bearded man with glasses, targeted Sturzenberger amidst the crowded market square.
