Nurse in SD Lied to CNN About Angry Dying Coronavirus Patients…Here’s the Real Scoop

A Registered Nurse from South Dakota who is immersed in a sea of COVID-19 patients, recently agreed to an interview with CNN. The nurse was quite elaborate in her efforts to fulfill the objective of the liberal network by painting the situation in only the direst of terms possible.

Jodi Doering told the network how some coronavirus patients still aren’t convinced the virus is real so they start vulgarly lashing out at the medical staff for keeping them there. She claimed this is not an isolated incident and said how some patients, even those in critical condition, refuse to contact family members, convinced of a false assumption they will be “just fine.”

Doering told CNN, which the network later tweeted, that her patients all too often “don’t want to believe that Covid is real. Their last dying words are, ‘This can’t be happening. It’s not real.’ And when they should be… Face-Timing their families, they’re filled with anger and hatred.”

The nurse landed the interview due to one of her own tweets that surprised her when it went viral. It read, there are patients “who scream at you for a magic medicine and that Joe Biden is … [g]oing to ruin the USA. All while gasping for breath on 100% Vapotherm. They tell you there must be another reason they are sick. They call you names and ask why you have to wear all that ‘stuff’ because they don’t have COViD because it’s not real. Yes. This really happens.”

In attempts to fact check Doering’s claims, “RedState” conducted their own investigation. The conservative news outlet found that Doering county of residence, Sanborn, since the onslaught of the pandemic, has only seen one death as a result of the coronavirus.

But the hospital she was referring to, Huron Regional Medical Center, is located in the adjoining county of Beadle, so further investigation was required. According to the hospital, they have had six COVID-19 deaths, but countywide there have been twenty-two. Their current load of coronavirus patients is six, none of whom require a ventilator, and are all expected to fully recover.

Based on numbers and statistics from the area, Doering’s outlandish claims don’t hold water. It would appear as if in her quest for starlet fame, no matter how brief, her flamboyant over-exaggeration was as bogus as she is.

Wired Magazine, not being totally convinced, conducted their own separate investigation. When all was said and done, they concluded that the reporters from CNN failed to properly vet the story before pursuing and releasing it.

John Zielgerman, a Senior Columnist for Mediaite, in the following statement to RedState, called Doering’s tales of woe, “inherently nonsensical.

“Her description of patients ‘shouting’ seemed very inconsistent with someone who was dying of COVID,” he alluded. “I also know that CNN’s vetting of such a situation would likely be nonexistent, especially given the narrative here is one they love. It is nearly impossible to prove her story is false unless someone from the hospital calls out her story, so I doubt there will be any accountability here. This is not the first time this kind of thing has happened, and I am sure it will not be the last.”

So there you have it. The real deal. As is almost always the case with CNN, it takes the non-liberal media stepping in to set the record straight, and we promise to keep telling you like it is.
